Jaisalmer Desert Safaris

1. SUNSET SAFARI A. Rs 1050 pp B. Rs 1350 pp C.1750

A . At approximately 2pm you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will then travel to Barana, a small village outside of Khuri. Here you will take the camels and ride into the desert until sunset. You will then return by jeep to Jaisalmer.

B . You have to option of staying in the desert after sunset. Dinner will be prepared and you will relax on the dunes next to a camp fire (weather permitting). You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer arriving at approximately 10:30pm.

C . At approximately 2pm you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will then travel to Barana, a small village outside of Khuri. Here you will take the camels and ride into the desert until sunset. after sunset return to our camp.

At our camp, vegetarian dinner will be served and here we oranise traditional music and folk dance programme. We will do camp fire ( if weather permits). You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer arriving at approximately 10:30pm.

OVERNIGHT SAFARI Rs 2050 pp

At approximately 2pm you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will then travel to Barana, a small village outside of Khuri. Here you will take the camels and ride into the desert until sunset. After sunset, dinner will be prepared and you will relax on the dunes next to a camp fire (weather permitting). You will sleep overnight in the desert either outside on the dunes or in a safari tent. The next morning after breakfast you have the option of going on another camel ride. You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer around 10am.

OVERNIGHT SAFARI WITH SWISS TENT ACCOMODATION WITH MUSIC AND DANCE PROGRAMMERs.2850 pp

At approximately 2pm you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will then travel to Barana, a small village outside of Khuri. Here you will take the camels and ride into the desert until sunset.

After sunset, you will return by camel to our Desert Camp. Here we organise Camp Fire, Music and Dance programme and vegetarian dinner will be prepared .

We will provide swiss tent accommodation to you, tent has attached bath which has running cold and hot water.

The next morning after breakfast you have the option of going on another camel ride. You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer around 10am.

CAMEL SAFARI Rs 1650 pp per day basis

Nights in the desert will count separately

At approximately 7am you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will then travel to Barana, a small village outside of Khuri where you will take your camel and ride into the desert. You will stop for lunch and continue riding. After sunset, dinner will be prepared and you will relax on the dunes next to a camp fire (weather permitting). You will sleep overnight in the desert outside on the dunes. The next morning after breakfast you have the option of going on another camel ride. You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer around 10am. This safari is ideal for those who want the flexibility of a longer safari as it can be extended for as long as you want.

MONUMENTS TOURRs 950 pp

At approximately 9am you will leave Jaisalmer and drive out of the western side of the city. On this trip you will visit Bada Bagh, the ‘Big Garden’ that house the royal cenotaphs; Lodurva, a series of historic buildings which were part of an ancient city; Amar Sagar Lake with a Jain temple and Khuldara, an abandoned village. The tour allows you to enjoy all of the attractions at your own pace. You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer around 12am.

We can arrange by discussion an off-road safari by jeep to remote villages. Also by the same arrangement we can take birdwatchers in the winter time only for a trip to see local desert birdlife.

INCLUSIONS

The price for the Sunset Safari, Overnight Safari and Camel Safari includes:

  • Jeep transfers
  • Bedding, blankets and sleeping bags (Overnight and Camel Safari only)
  • Meals – all vegetarian and prepared freshly in the desert
    • Breakfast: Toast, jam, peanut butter, boiled eggs, fruit, juice, tea and coffee (Overnight and Camel Safari only)
    • Dinner: Two vegetable dishes, dhal, rice, chapatti, Indian sweet, fruit and chai
  • Mineral Water
  • Camel Ride – one person per camel

The price for the Camel Safari also includes:

  • Lunch: Two vegetable dishes, dhal, rice, chapatti, Indian sweet, fruit and chai

The price for the Monuments tour includes:

  • Jeep transfers
  • Mineral water

For all the safaris:

  • Departure times are approximate for November to March. They may vary at other times of the year and we will advise you of the best departure time during this period.
  • Drinks can be provided at extra charge
  • A music program by local musicians can be provided at extra charge
  • All prices are for two people minimum
  • All bookings must be confirmed by a deposit of one persons camel safari
  • The deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is made within 24 hours of departure
  • Half of the deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made before 24 hours of departure
  • In the case of unavoidable natural events we will either refund half of the deposit or we will transfer the booking to the next available day
  • Prices and information is correct as at 1st June 2011. Management reserves the right to make changes without prior notice.
